Programme overview

Description

Led by Paul McCartney, Wings were one of the best-selling acts of the 1970s, with five consecutive albums topping the US charts. This live-in-studio film, directed by David Litchfield, captures their signature sound.

Filmed at Abbey Road Studios in 1974 on videotape, it shows the inner workings of the band as they play together. It includes unique performances of songs from their iconic album Band On The Run, including Live And Let Die and Jet, as well as a reimagined Beatles classic. The film also features intimate footage of the band hanging out, audio interview snippets and a previously unreleased solo acoustic performance of The Backyard Sessions by Paul McCartney. It also features an exclusive introduction and interlude by McCartney, plus unseen Polaroids of the band.

This is a chance to witness history in the making, 50 years after it was first filmed.
